"Come gather round"

Our AGM will be followed by a concert featuring students who have recently graduated from the Royal College of Music or the Royal Academy of Music.  They have put together a lovely programme of Gilbert and Sullivan plus some Sullivan especially for the Society.

The group will be led by up and coming young countertenor, Richard Decker.   Richard has been  brought up in an environment of Gilbert and Sullivan and classical music.  In 2011 whilst singing with the Queen's Chapel of the Savoy, he was named BBC 2 Chorister of the Year.  He read Italian, French and linguistics at St. John's College, Cambridge where he was also a choral scholar and he has worked as Director of Music in St. Mark's English Church in Florence, Italy.  Richard graduated last year from the Royal College of Music and conducted a production of Mozart's The Impresario at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year.

Richard has organised the programme for the evening and will be joined by Ellen Pearson (mezzo-soprano), Guy Beynon (tenor), Sam Hird (baritone) and with Francesca Lauri at the piano.
