'A theatrical crew'                                  The Peter Parker Memorial Meeting

An illustrated presentation by Vincent Daniels in collaboration with the George Edwardes Musical Comedy Society and assisted by Nick Dobson.  They will explore the competition faced by comic opera following Utopia Limited using songs and slides to describe how the new fashion for musical comedy influenced the shows at The Savoy Theatre.  The afternoon will include solos and duets from many of the works mentioned and will be sung by Leon Berger (baritone) and Joanna Gamble (contralto) accompanied by Tim Smith.

Vincent is an expert on productions contemporary to the Savoy Operas and has arranged this event in cooperation with the George Edwardes Musical Society, members of which will join us for this afternoon.
