Andrew is a practising Barrister and international mediator, who works in more than 20
jurisdictions, and, since a child has been a fan of G&S. His books ‘Gilbert and Sullivan at Law’ (Associated University Press) and ‘Gilbert and Sullivan’s London’ (Faber & Faber) won wild acclaim for their original research, and he worked with Mike Leigh directly in the early stages of Topsy-Turvy. 

He regularly contributes to learned journals and programme notes for both professional and amateur productions of the Savoy Operas. He has been a historical consultant to
managements of the Grim’s Dyke Hotel since 1985 and has been a regular visitor
for over 40 years.
