GILBERT & SULLIVAN – The Mikado – £99PP
Nanki-Poo, son of the Mikado of Japan, fled his father’s imperial court to escape marriage with Katisha, an elderly lady. Disguised as a traveling musician, he met and fell in love with Yum-Yum, but she’s betrothed to Ko-Ko, the new Lord High Executioner. When the Mikado orders a beheading, Nanki-Poo and Ko-Ko try to come to an arrangement that doesn’t involve anyone losing their head! The Mikado arrives in Titipu, believing his son to have been beheaded. Ko-Ko tries to convince Nanki-Poo to come back life. He agrees to do so, if Ko-ko weds Katisha. Will Koko marry Katisha to save his head?
